2026 · Last updated: 8 October 2026

In short
DualDay does not collect, store or send any information about you. There is no account, no server, no advertising, no tracking and no analytics.
Your iPhone's calendar
If you allow calendar access, DualDay reads your events to show them next to the Hebrew date, and writes the events you create in it to your calendar. Reading and writing happen only on your device, through Apple's own interface. DualDay does not copy your events anywhere else. If your calendar syncs with iCloud, Google or Exchange, that sync is done by the system and those accounts, not by DualDay.
Access is optional: dates, holidays, Shabbat times, the Torah portion and the converter all work without it. You can revoke it at any time in Settings › Privacy & Security › Calendars.
Settings
The city and custom you choose are stored on your device only, so the app and its widget remember them.
Importing and exporting files
Files you import (Excel or calendar files) are read on your iPhone only, and their dates are saved to your calendar. Files you export are created on your iPhone and go only where you choose to share them.
Location
Location is optional. You can pick a city from the list, and DualDay then never touches your location. If you choose "Use my location", the app asks for your iPhone's approximate location to work out Shabbat times where you are. It is used for that calculation on the device only: just the place name and its coordinates are kept, on your iPhone, so the app and its widget keep working. Nothing is sent to any DualDay server. The place name comes from Apple's map service. You can revoke access at any time in Settings › Privacy & Security › Location Services.
Children
The app is suitable for all ages and collects no information from anyone, children included.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a new date.
