Dunam and area
Type an area in any unit and read it in all the others. A dunam is 1,000 square metres.
Area converter
1 dunam = 1,000 m² = 0.1 hectare ≈ 0.247 acre. The old Ottoman dunam, still met in pre-1928 deeds, was 919.3 m².
Length converter
1 inch = 2.54 cm exactly. 1 foot = 12 inches = 30.48 cm. 1 mile = 1.609 km.
Shoe size conversion
EU, US, UK and centimetres, for men, women and children. Israel uses EU sizes. Brands differ by up to half a size, so the centimetre column is the one to trust: measure the foot and let the chart do the rest.

To measure: stand on a sheet of paper, mark the heel and the tip of the longest toe, and measure between the marks. Take the longer foot, and add about half a centimetre for room.
Cooking measures
A cup of flour and a cup of sugar do not weigh the same, so the converter asks what is in the cup. Cup = 240 ml, tablespoon = 15 ml, teaspoon = 5 ml.

One dunam is 1,000 square metres, a tenth of a hectare. An acre is about 4.05 dunams, and a dunam about 0.247 acre. The old Ottoman dunam, still found in pre-1928 deeds, was 919.3 m². A half-dunam plot is 500 m².
How do shoe sizes convert?
Israel uses EU sizes. A women's 38 is roughly a US 7.5 and a UK 5; a men's 42 is roughly a US 8.5 and a UK 8. Charts are approximations, because every brand cuts a little differently.
